Comedians and actors Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont have announced their decision to divorce after nine years of marriage. The couple released a joint statement on social media on Friday, revealing their decision to separate.
"It is with great sadness that we announce we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the statement read. "We have been together for nine wonderful years, and we have made the decision with love and respect for one another."
Richardson and Beaumont met through fellow comedian Roisin Conaty in 2013 and married two years later. They have one daughter together.
"We are incredibly grateful for the time we have spent together and the memories we have made," the statement continued. "We will always cherish the friendship we have built over the years and remain committed to co-parenting our daughter."
Richardson and Beaumont have requested privacy during this difficult time and thanked their fans for their support and understanding.
